Our story
2013: Green Lotus Designs officially began using the name publicly, establishing early web and social presence while helping restaurants and tourism-driven businesses get discovered online.
We started in Corpus Christi, Texas, working with coastal and tourism businesses from Port Aransas to Costa Rica; those years shaped our approach to building brands that stand out and perform in search.
2018: Green Lotus Designs planted roots in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, establishing a strong local client base across the Four Corners region and Southwest Colorado, while continuing to serve businesses outside the area.
July 26, 2022: Green Lotus Designs, Ltd. was formed as a Colorado LLC.
June 10, 2025: Our U.S. trademark is offically registered (SER. NO. 98-788,047, FILED 10-07-2024).
Led by Jesse Samu
Green Lotus Designs is led by Jesse Samu (Baylor University, BA, 2003). His studies focused on telecommunications, media production, journalism, and film, including early academic work exploring the intersection of AI and society.
As adventure sports and outdoors enthusiasts, he and his wife were led by their consistent desire to spend time together in the Colorado mountains with their kids, to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. In 2018, they purchased a home, and moved full time to the area after spending vacation time there several seasons prior. With kids active in school and sports; the Samu’s spend off time road-tripping the US SW for soccer games and swim meets, and try to shred pow and mtb as often as possible.
Jesse built his career in high-stakes storytelling and communications, bringing a rare mix of strategy, production craft, and technical execution into modern web design and SEO. Alongside broadcast and corporate roles, he also spent the 2003–2013 era building independent digital projects; including a surfing-focused web blog that achieved strong international reach, plus freelance content creation, graphic work, and web design for growing brands.
- KIII-TV 3 (2004–2011): TV photojournalism, fast-turn content creation, and real-world messaging under deadline; interviewing everyone from U.S. presidents to locals on the street.
- Independent digital work (2004–2013): Built and ran a surfing website with strong international visibility & commercial success, + supported local businesses through freelance content creation and design, also helping establish start-up buzz, and an online presence for Corpus Christi’s first doctor-run walk-in, quick ER concept.
- Port Corpus Christi (2011–2018): Built the port’s online media, website, and social presence while also managing internal and external communications, and serving on multiple community boards of directors. As part of an award-winning three-person team, he helped expand global visibility as the port grew from 8th to 3rd in the nation.
